Read the story to find out who we are.

Ginger

Its sometimes hard to say exactly who I am. Or what I am. I secretly house this suspicion that I am an automaton. Blindly moving through my life unable to touch the real. I call it the deeper still, that place you know is there and can sometimes feel, but most of the time feels far away and removed.

I write stories about a woman named Olivia. Its SciFi, because I love SciFi. With a very special place in my heart for the Caudal movement made popular in the 2060’s. I also spent way too much time reading, developing and entering into the defeated Rexxons world in Marxon’s classic SciFi “Blue Tone Exit.” But who didn't?

My passion, my life, my reason to get up in the morning is my best friend (but so much more than that) Wren. My blood sister. My appendage. Truly, I feel amputated when she is not with me. And that's pretty much all the time now that we have been separated. I try to stay positive in my letters because I just can't imagine sharing with Wren the depth of my sorrow over her absence in my life and the gaping hole she left me in. We have a crazy promise to one another to be honest with each other, no matter what the costs. Crazy. Crazy because the truth is a shady character that will cut you with a knife when you aren't looking.

Enough about me. You should really spend your energy on Wren. She is far more alive, more passionate, more interesting that me. If you think I harken back to the classics with the Marxon classics she is old old old school as she likes fiction from the 1900's. See what I mean, she is so much more interesting than me. And braver. And everything. She is just *amazing*.

Wren

Hi, I'm Wren. As the story goes (or as my moms tell it) I was born with my eyes open and my voice full of song. They say I was so tiny (as small as a bird just hatched) that they named me Wren. Or so it goes... I am almost 16 and love singing and dancing.  My favorite thing  is making up stories with my best friend, Ginger. Have you met her yet?  She is the funniest girl and most beautiful girl in the world.  She travels all around the world with her mother while I am stuck in this boring ERMI. I hate it here. Locked up like a criminal.

I walk with a limp because of a virus that nested in my tibia when I was only three.  I'm in the ERI because my moms were told by the doctors that my virus is worsening. I'm planning on running away and taking Ginger with me.  Did I tell you?  I have an imaginary Jar that I put all my secrets in so that no one can see them. The adults are always trying to get my secrets. I think they know that I see the truth, hear their lies, and taste the danger.  Shh...they are coming..

Thicker Than Water.
